A Windy Wednesday Ahead:

Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Looks like we're in store for a windy day here in the Big Country, the Northern Concho Valley and the Northern Heartland on this Wednesday. We'll see a north wind later today ranging from 15-25 miles per hour. Higher gusts are possible. Other than the windy weather, expect plenty of sunshine with highs around 70 and clear tonight with lows in the lower 40s.

* Late Week: Expect sunny conditions with temperatures running slightly below normal. Highs will remain in the middle to upper 60s for Thursday and Friday with lows slipping into the middle 30s by Friday morning. The forecast still remains dry.

* The Weekend/Next Week: A slight warming trend is expect for the upcoming weekend. Mostly sunny each day with highs in the lowr 70s on Saturday and the middle 70s for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Expect lows in the upper 30s on Saturday morning but warming and back into the 40s on Sunday and Monday morning. Lows are back into the 50s by Tuesday morning.
The forecast for the weekend and into early next week still remains dry.

* Time Change: Daylight Saving Time will end Sunday, November 7 at 2:00 AM and at that time we "fall back" an hour. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed that Saturday night or turn them back when you wake up on Sunday morning. In case your wondering we will lose that hour when the time changes on Sunday, March 13, 2011. The Abilene Fire Department would like to remind residents that while your changing the clock to also take the time to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It's also a good idea to check the batteries in your weather radio as well.
