Dry & Warm Start To The Week:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Quiet weather is expected on this Monday across the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley. Mostly sunny and breezy are expected with highs in middle 70s. Mostly clear tonight with lows in the lower to middle 50s with our breezy conditions still in place.

* The Week Ahead: Above average temperatures are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday across West Central Texas under a mostly clear sky and breezy conditions. Daytime highs will climb into the middle 70s. Overnight lows will range from the lower to the middle 50s. The later half of the week will bring in cooler temperatures and perhaps some stormy weather. An upper level storm system and strong cold front are forecast move into the region on Thursday and Friday. There is a decent chance for thunderstorms across West Central Texas at the moment. If the system tracks a little more southward it would be able to catch more moisture and could bring a risk of severe storms to the region. I'll keep an eye on this the next few days as we get new forecast model data. Highs drop back into the low 70s on Thursday and the lower to middle 60s for Friday and into the weekend. Overnight lows hold into the 50s but will drop back into the upper 30s and lower 40s over the weekend. Expect clouds around Thursday and Friday and mostly clear conditions over the weekend.
