A Windy & Warm Monday Ahead:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

*** Lake Wind & Wind Advisories are in effect for the Big Country, the Northern Concho Valley and the Northern Heartland for this afternoon and into the early evening. ***

* Mostly sunny and windy on this Monday across West Central Texas with highs climbing into the upper 80s and the lower 90s. The wind will pick up into the afternoon out of the southwest ranging between 20-40 miles per hour. There could be some areas of blowing dust today. We'll have to watch the temperatures today as the Abilene record high for today is 91 from 1950. Clear and still a bit breezy tonight with lows in the lower 50s.

* The Week Ahead: A series of cold fronts will move across the region this week. The first will slip across the area late tonight and into tomorrow bringing highs back into the middle and upper 70s for Tuesday and Wednesday. Another front will arrive on Wednesday evening helping push the highs back into the lower to middle 70s for Thursday and Friday. Lows drop into the lower 50s with the first front early this week and into the lower to middle 40s with the front coming up for the later half of the week. Expect a mostly clear sky each day.

* The Weekend: A few clouds possible by the weekend and starting to warm back up with highs back into the lower 80s and lows back into the lower to middle 50s. The forecast looks dry for the weekend.
