Nice Weekend Weather Ahead ...

From KRBC Chief Meteorologist Randy Turner ..

The trend of cool mornings and warm afternoons can be expected through Sunday before another strong cold front returns us to cold mornings and cool afternoons.

There is actually going to be a weak front in the area Friday. Using I-20 as our line of reference, counties north of Abilene will tend to be a few degrees cooler Friday, counties south of Abilene warmer. The front should pass farther south Friday night into the southern counties but it's not that big of a deal.

Friday night football weather looks great - Kickoff temperature in the low 60's, end of game temperature low 50's so carry a jacket or hooded sweat, preferably in your school colors, shamelessly promoting your favorite team on the planet.

For the weekend - Great weather, sunny afternoons, mid 70's, how can we continue to be so lucky with great weekend weather.

I don't foresee any rain over the next seven days.

Sunday night, a strong cold front arrives, dropping highs back to near 60 to begin Monday.

Thursday Night: Clear and cold, near 37. South wind 5 to 10, light northerly at times.

Friday: Sunny and 68. South wind, at times northerly, depending on which side of the front you are on.

Friday Night: Clear and 40.

Saturday: Sunny and 75.

Sunday: Sunny and 75.
