If At First You Don't Succeed ....

From KRBC Chief Meteorologist Randy Turner ...

A pesky cold front, which brought almost 2 inches of rain to Abilene Monday night, retreated northwest during the day Tuesday, taking the rain with it, temporarily. But, as our headline says, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again". So, tonight (Tues. night) the front will move into and hopefully through the area. It should kick off a few showers and isolated t-storms on the way through so rain lingers in the area through Wednesday. After that, it's dry through the weekend.

Temperatures will be sharply cooler Wednesday and Wednesday night, slow warming through the rest of the week.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, 30% chance for showers, low of 53. North wind 5 to 10.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, 20% chance for showers, much cooler, high 62. North wind 5 to 15.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy to clear, low of 48.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, high of 68. North wind.

Friday through Sunday: Sunny, lows low 50's, highs mid 70's.
