Monday Morning Update

Good Morning from Morning Meteorologist Kristen Connolly…

We are starting the work week off on the soggy side. The biggest concern this morning is flooding from extensive rainfall we have seen in some areas around the Big Country. Please be careful, especially on water covered roadways.

Grab the umbrella or rain jacket this morning! We will be seeing the activity continue throughout the day today with showers and thunderstorms possible tonight as this system pushes through west central Texas. Temperatures will only make it into the upper 60’s to lower 70’s because of our widespread cloud cover. Overnight we will see temperatures in the mid 50’s.

This system will clear out for tomorrow with a shower still possibly lingering in the morning hours. By the afternoon we will see partly sunny skies before the next system quickly makes its way into the area Wednesday. Because of sunshine tomorrows temperatures will rise into the upper 70’s.

The next upper level trough will push through a cold front that will knock temperatures down for a few days by midweek. Rain chances are back on the board for Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will stay warm for Wednesday in the upper 70’s with upper 60’s behind the front Thursday and Friday.

Have a great week!
