Thunderstorms Likely Today & Tonight:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

FROM THE KRBC WEATHER CENTER....

LARGE THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE BIG COUNTRY EARLY THIS MORNING. MOST OF THIS RAIN EAST OF THE REGION BY SUNRISE. ISOLATED/SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE LATER TODAY...BUT THE BEST CHANCE WILL BE AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AS A SURFACE TROUGH AND UPPER LOW MOVES ACROSS THE REGION.

BY TUESDAY NIGHT...THE THREAT OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...AS AN INTENSE UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM COMBINES WITH GULF MOISTURE. A SQUALL LINE...WITH EMBEDDED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...IS EXPECTED TO PUSH RAPIDLY EAST ACROSS WEST CENTRAL TEXAS LATE TUESDAY NIGHT OR EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING. DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL WILL BE THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER THREATS.
