HOT AND HOTTER

FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER

I'VE MADE NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO MY FORECAST FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS - HIGH PRESSURE IS IN CONTROL WHICH MEANS HOT AND DRY WEATHER. ALL THIS POINTS TO THE PATTERN WANTING TO GO SUMMER TIME ON US ABOUT A MONTH EARLY. THE JET STREAM SHOULD STAY TO OUR NORTH FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS WHICH CARRIES THE STORM TRACK FARTHER NORTH AWAY FROM OUR AREA.

REMINDERS - TO BATTLE THE HEAT, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. TAKE WORK BREAKS - TRY TO GET MOST OF YOUR WORK DONE IN THE MORNINGS OR LATE EVENING - CHECK ON THE ELDERLY AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE COOL ENOUGH - GIVE YOUR PETS PLENTY OF WATER AND SHADE.

TONIGHT: MAINLY CLEAR SKIES WITH A LOW OF 70. SOUTH WIND ABOUT 10.

TOMORROW: MOSTLY SUNNY AND 95 - A LITTLE HOTTER WEST OF ABILENE. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 20.

TOMORROW NIGHT: CLEAR AND 71.

WEEKEND: SUNNY AND HOT, UPPER 90'S.
