Warming Trend Begins:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chis Whited...

* Mostly clear out there this morning with temperatures into the 20s and low 30s across the region. Expect a sunny day with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s for the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley. Mostly clear tonight and not as cold with lows tonight in the middle and upper 30s.

* The warming trend really takes shape for tomorrow has highs climb into the lower 60s with a few clouds returning for into the day. The rest of the week looks nice with a partly cloudy sky with highs in the middle 60s and overnight lows well above freezing into the 40s.

* Weekend & Next Week: Partly cloudy on Saturday but mostly cloudy on Sunday with high still holding into the 60s across the area with overnight lows still in the 40s. Showers will be possible Sunday evening and Sunday night as a cold front drops into the area. Partly cloudy and cooler with highs back in the l0w 50s on Monday and overnight lows Monday night into the low 30s. More clouds return for Tuesday and models show disturbance working through western areas of the state. I'll include a slight rain chance but we'll have to watch the models because colder air in place at the same time could mean we could see some wintry precipitation with this system.

* The Winter Outlook: The Climate Prediction Center indicates a moderate El NiƱo pattern continues to bring West Central Texas a wetter pattern here in the winter months. Increased wintry precipitation is possible depending on temperature trends. Equal chances of above or below normal temperatures remain possible for the area.
