Clouds Return But Still Warm Today:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chis Whited...

* A nice end to the week with mostly sunny and later today a partly cloudy sky. Highs in the middle and upper 60s with overnight lows tonight in the middle 40s. South breezy will continue as we go into the day and also this evening.

* Weekend: Mostly cloudy, warm and breezy on Saturday with highs in the middle 60s and Saturday night lows in the middle 40s. There is a slight chance for a few thunderstorms after midnight. Cloudy with scattered thunderstorms on Sunday with highs back in the upper 50s. Colder for Sunday night as the rain chances end with lows in the lower 30s.

* Next Week: Cooler on Monday with a partly cloudy sky and highs in the low 50s. Cold Monday night with lows in the lower 30s. On Tuesday a system will work in from the west increase our precipitation chances. Models show cold air with highs only in the middle 30s so that would mean a wintry precipitation chance for Tuesday. We'll keep an eye on this over the weekend.

* The Winter Outlook: The Climate Prediction Center indicates a moderate El NiƱo pattern continues to bring West Central Texas a wetter pattern here in the winter months. Increased wintry precipitation is possible depending on temperature trends. Equal chances of above or below normal temperatures remain possible for the area.
