Another Windy & Warm Day Ahead:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Another windy and very warm December day is ahead for the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley on this Thursday. Highs today will quickly climb into the lower 70s this afternoon. A gusty southwest wind will continue into the day with the highest wind speeds into the afternoon. Partly cloudy and cooler tonight with lows falling into the middle to upper 30s. The first of two cold fronts will move into West Central Texas late tonight. This first front will push daytime highs back into the middle 50s on Friday. A secondary cold front will arrive Friday night dropping overnight lows into the lower to middle 20s and highs on New Year's Day only in the middle to upper 40s.

* Holiday Weekend: A cold start to 2011 with low temperatures on Saturday morning into the low to mid 20s across the area. Partly cloudy and chilly on New Year's Day with highs in the middle to upper 40s. Partly cloudy and a little warmer on Sunday with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s after starting the day in the upper teens and the lower 20s.
