Cooler Temperatures & Rain Chances Ahead:

Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited....

* The ridge is slowly drifting away from Texas but still have a last little bit of influence in our forecast.. Expect sunny to mostly sunny conditions the next two days with highs in the lower 100s and still very warm and uncomfortable at night with lows in the middle 70s.

* Pattern chance ahead for the weekend. Temperatures will drop back into the lower 90s over the weekend with overnight lows in the lower 70s. As the ridge slips westward, the clockwise flow around the high will bring a northerly to northwesterly flow across the area. This pattern should help bring a weak cold front into the area toward the weeekend.

* Rain: A northerly to northwesterly flow returns as the ridge moves out west which will help the front arrive by Saturday. This front will help enhance rain chances for the area. Also, a moisture axis that is to our east will shift westward with the high shifting west and with that axis over Texas, storms will develop in the afternoons. I've added rain chances for Saturday - Wednesday.
