Scattered Showers & Storms Today:
Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited at KRBC...
* Stationary frontal boundary remains stalled over the Edwards Plateau and Southwestern Texas this morning. Southerly flow over the front is helping kick off showers and thunderstorms across the Concho Valley and Heartland this morning. This activity will develop and drift northward during the day. The best chances for rain today will be south of Interstate 20... mainly over the Concho Valley and Heartland. I am going to include an isolated storm chance for all areas today here in the Big Country. The main deal today will be the overcast conditions.
* The front gradually drifts further south tonight and tomorrow and falls apart but we'll still see cloouds from time to time tomorrow in our area. Down the road a heat ridge will slowly build in from the west helping warm things up as we approach the holiday weekend.
KRBC Forecast:

FROM THE KRBC TRIPLE DOPPLER WEATHER LAB ...
THE RAINS HAVE BEEN GENEROUS ACROSS THE AREA SINCE SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE FRONT THAT PUSHED DOWN INTO THE AREA SATURDAY STALLED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES IN THE KRBC VIEWING AREA AND HAS CAUSED MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS TO FORM TODAY. THIS VERY TROPICAL WEATHER PATTERN IS EXPECTED TO LAST THROUGH MONDAY BEFORE SOME SLIGHTLY DRIER AIR PUSHES IN.
AS WE GO THROUGH THE WORK WEEK, WE WILL COME UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT. WHAT THAT MEANS FOR US IS THE POTENTIAL FOR ANY STORMS WHICH DEVELOP IN THE TEXAS PAHANDLE OR NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO TO DRIFT OUR WAY, MUCH LIKE WE'VE SEEN THE PAST COUPLE WEEKS. IT IS SOMETHING WE HAVE TO LOOK AT DAY TO DAY AS THE WEEK GOES ON.
TONIGHT: SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AREA, LOW NEAR 68. EAST WIND 5 TO 10.
MONDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A 20% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS, HIGH 90. EAST WIND 10 TO 15.
MONDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY, 68.
TUESDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY AND 94.

Changes Coming This Weekend
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ......
My Thursday afternoon analysis shows signs of bringing some much needed rain into our area Sunday into Monday which also means cooler temperatures.
We'll have to depend on a cold front to drop into our area - and it looks like once it gets here it'll hang out somewhere between I-20 and I-10. This could mean significant rain because this time of year, fronts tend to stall and storms tend to move very slowly so if we generate rain, it may linger a while. From what I'm seeing now, the front should approach our area Saturday night into Sunday with our best chance for rain Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning. Keep your fingers crossed.
Thursday Night: Clear to partly cloudy, low 73. South wind 10 to 15.
Friday: Partly cloudy and hot, 99. South wind 10 to 20.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, an isolated storm possible, 74.
Saturday: Partly cloudy, 20% chance of morning showers - then a 20% chance of a late day thunderstorm. High 95.
Saturday Night: A 30% chance for thunderstorms, low 72.
Sunday: Cooler - Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for thunderstorms - high near 88.
Sunday Night: A 40% chance for thunderstorms, low 68.
Monday: A 40% chance for thunderstorms, high 88.
Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, low 68, 20% chance for storms.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy, 20% chance for thunderstorms, high 88.
Wednesday and Thursday: Partly cloudy, near 90.

Slight Chance for Rain - Continued Hot
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STORMS CROSSED MAINLY THE NORTHERN BIG COUNTRY TODAY WITH VERY LITTLE FANFARE - BUT AT LEAST THE CLOUD COVER KEPT TEMPERATURES REASONABLE. THE SAME BASIC PATTERN WILL PERSIST OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS - A DAILY SLIGHT CHANCE FOR ISOLATED SHOWERS AND STORMS AND TEMPERATURES STILL ON THE HOT SIDE.
TONIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY, 20% CHANCE FOR STORMS, LOW 72. SOUTH WIND 5 TO 10.
TOMORROW: PARTLY CLOUDY, 20% CHANCE FOR STORMS, HIGH 96, SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15.

An Isolated Storm Possible Today:
Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited at KRBC...
* Clouds from a dying complex of thunderstorms to our northwest will drift across the Big Country, Heartland and Northern Concho Valley this morning. These stick around a few hours this morning and gradually begin to break up as we expect partly cloudy skies today.
* An outflow boundary from the dying complex of storms remains over West Central Texas and with daytime heating, could develop some isolated thunderstorms across our area. Rain chances are very small, at only about 10-percent, but at this rate, any rain is welcomed across West Central Texas.
* Heat ridge builds in from the west, but it still looks like the really blazing hot weather (upper 90s/low 100s) should stay just to our west. Having said that, it will be warm here with middle to upper 90s through the weekend.

Isolated T-Storms Tonight ...
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
I'M GOING WITH A 20% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT - HIT AND MISS VARIETY BUT A LITTLE DISTURBANCE SWINGS THROUGH THAT COULD GIVE SELECTED AREAS A SHOWER. OTHERWISE, NO BIG CHANGES TO THE FORECAST - AN OVERALL DRY AND VERY WARM WEATHER PATTERN THROUGH THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS.
TONIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY, 20% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS, LOW NEAR 73. SOUTH WIND 5 TO 10.
TOMORROW: PARTLY CLOUDY AND HOT, HIGH 97. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: PARTLY LOUDY AND 72, IDOLATED HIT AND MISS SHOWER OR T-STORM POSSIBLE.

Hot & Mostly Dry Weather Continues:
Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited at KRBC...
* Once again this morning we start off with morning clouds from one dying complex of thunderstorms to our northwest and one over the Permian Basin. Clouds will stick around a few hours this morning and gradually begin to break up as we expect partly cloudy skies today.
* The morning forecast models runs are stilll pointing toward another complex of thunderstorms to form in the Panhandle of Texas tonight and drop southeastward. It think it will be the same senario as last night that these storms will fall apart over the northwestern portions of the Big Country so will focus on that area for the best chance of rain tonight and early Wednesday morning,
* Heat ridge builds to our west but it now appears the really extreme heat will remain across the Permian Basin and Trans-Pecos. It will be hot here with highs in the middle 90s... a few degrees above the average highs in the lower 90s.

HOT - MOSTLY DRY
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
THE WEATHER PATTERN IS BASICALLY A DRY PATTERN THIS WEEK. THIS PATTERN ALSO LENDS ITSELF TO THE OCCASIONAL ISOLATED AFTERNOON OR EVENING SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM ALTHOUGH THE PROBABILITY FOR THAT IS SO LOW, I'LL JUST LEAVE A MENTION OF ISOLATED IN THE FORECAST BUT WON'T PUT A PERCENTAGE ON IT AT THIS TIME. IF YOU GET A SHOWER, YOU'LL BE LUCKY. OUR FIRST FULL WEEK OF SUMMER WILL FEATURE AFTERNOON HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 90'S, OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE LOW 70'S.
MONDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY, 71, SOUTHEAST WIND 5 TO 10. AN ISOLATED STORM IS POSSIBLE.
TUESDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY, HIGH 97. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 20.
TUESDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY, LOW 71.

Hot Weather Builds Back Into Texas:
Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited at KRBC...
* Cloudy conditions start the morning off as a dying complex of thunderstorms that dropped southeast overnight has fallen apart to our northwest. Clouds will stick around a few hours this morning and gradually begin to break up as we expect partly cloudy skies today.
* Forecast models are suggesting another complex of storms will form in the Panhandle of Texas tonight and drop southeastward. We'll have to watch where these end up but for now we'll introduce a chance for storms in the forecast package for tonight. Depending on the development and track, that chance may need to up the rain chances tonight. (Check out the afternoon forecast later today with Randy Turner)
* Heat ridge to our west will try to build into West Central Texas but it may hold just a little to our west to keep the really extreme heat across the Permian Basin and Trans-Pecos. It will be hot here with highs in the middle 90s... a few degrees above the average highs in the lower 90s.

Overnight T-Storms Becoming Common
FROM THE KRBC WEATHER LAB ..
NO MAJOR CHANGES TO THE FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THE WAY OUR UPPER LEVEL WINDS ARE SET UP, AND THE WAY STORMS ARE FORMING LATE AFTERNOON IN SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO AND NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO, I EXPECT MORE T-STORMS TO ADVANCE INTO THE BIG COUNTRY TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING, SOME WITH HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL.
THE SAME SCENARIO WILL LIKELY TAKE PLACE AGAIN LATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING, AND TO A LESSER EXTENT FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY.
WESTERN BIG COUNTRY COUNTIES EXPERIENCED LOTS OF RAIN LAST NIGHT, 2 TO 3 INCHES IN SPOTS, SO THEIR HIGHS TODAY WERE MUCH COOLER. OTHER PARTS OF THE BIG COUNTRY RECEIVED A QUARTER TO A HALF INCH.
TONIGHT: A 30% CHANCE FOR RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS, LOW NEAR 70. SOME STORMS SEVERE WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND DAMAGING WIND. OTHERWISE, EAST NORTHEAST WIND AT 10.
THURSDAY: MORNING SHOWERS END, THEN PARTLY SUNNY WITH HIGHS IN THE LOW 90'S.
THURSDAY NIGHT: LATE NIGHT STORMS AGAIN CARRYING INTO FRIDAY MORNING. LOW NEAR 70.

STORMS LIKELY TONIGHT
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN YOUR FORECAST TONIGHT HERE IN THE KRBC VIEWING AREA, AND A FEW COULD BECOME SEVERE WITH DOWNBURST WINDS, HAIL AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. STORMS BEGAN DEVELOPING THIS AFTERNOON IN NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO, ON THE RATON MESA. THOSE STORMS SHOULD MATERIALIZE INTO A LINE OF STORMS, MOVE SOUTHEAST AND EVENTUALLY WORK THROUGH THE ENTIRE KRBC VIEWING AREA BY NOON TOMORROW MORNING.
THIS TIME OF YEAR IT IS COMMON TO SEE STORMS DEVELOP THIS WAY BUT REMEMBER THEY USUALLY ALWAYS PRODUCE STRONG, SOMETIMES DAMAGING, WIND SO STAY ALERT. AFTER THE STORMS PASS TOMORROW, THE WEATHER SHOULD BE CALM AND TEMPERATURES NOTICEABLY COOLER. GONG INTO THURSDAY, MAINLY DRY BUT THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY WE CAN'T RULE OUT ANOTHER AREA OF STORMS BUT THEY SHOULD MAINLY AFFECT AREAS TO OUR NORTH. THIS NIGHT TIME THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY MAY PERSIST THROUGH FRIDAY BEFORE WE RETURN TO A DRY PATTERN.
TONIGHT: T-STORMS LIKELY, SOME SEVERE WITH HEAVY RAIN. LOW OF 69. EAST AND NORTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15 EXCEPT STRONG AND GUSTY AROUND STORMS.
WEDNESDAY: CLOUDS IN THE MORNING, PARTLY CLOUDY AFTERNOON. HIGH 92. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: PARTLY CLOUDY, ISOLATED STORMS, LOW OF 71.
THURSDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY AND 95.

MAINLY HOT - BUT SOME RAIN IN THE FORECAST ..
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
THE HOT STREAK CONTINUED TODAY AND THE SAME BASIC PATTERN WILL DOMINATE BUT WE HAVE A COUPLE OPPORTUNITIES OVER THE NEXT TWO OR THREE DAYS TO SNEAK SOME RAIN INTO THE PICTURE.
FIRST, HIGH PRESSURE CONTROLS OUR WEATHER DURING THE SUMMER, DOWNWARD SINKING AIR LIKE A BUBBLE SITTING OVER US, KEEPING STORM SYSTEMS AWAY. BUT THIS WEEK THE HIGH LOOKS LIKE IT MAY DRIFT A LITTLE WEST WHICH WOULD ALLOW ANY STORMS NORTHWEST OF OUR AREA TO DRIFT INTO THE REGION. THAT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD HAPPEN TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING AND POSSIBLY WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. THIS IS ALL PREDICATED ON STORMS DEVELOPING TO OUR NORTH AND MOVING IN. AS THE HIGH RESETS ITSELF CLOSER TO US BY THE END OF THE WEEK, WE RETURN TO HOT AND DRY WEATHER.
TONIGHT: AN ISOLATED STORM POSSIBLE, OTHERWISE PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A LOW OF 74. SOUTHEAST WIND 10 TO 15.
TUESDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY WITH A HIGH OF 97 AND AN ISOLATED LATE STORM POSSIBLE.
TUESDAY NIGHT: A THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP NORTH AND MOVE INTO THE BIG COUNTRY, A 30% CHANCE FOR RAIN AT THIS TIME. LOW NEAR 71.
WEDNESDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY, MID TO UPPER 90'S.

Hot Weather Today:
Good Morning from KRBC Meterologist Chris Whited...
* Temperatures will soar back into the upper 90s and lower 100s today across the Big Country, Heartland, and Northern Concho Valley. We have still not reached 100 yet for the year here in Abilene, in fact the last time we saw official numbers in the triple digits was back on August 25, 2006!
* As we have been seeing the last several nights, a complex of thunderstorms will form up across the Panhandle and Texoma and drift south and eastward this evening and tonight. A few of these storms could hold together and affect the Big Country later tonight.
* There is a slight risk for severe weather outlined by the SPC for today, mainly for areas north of US 380 or a Apermont - Haskell - Throckmorton line.

* There is a slight risk for severe weather outlined by the SPC for today, mainly for areas north of US 380 or a Apermont - Haskell - Throckmorton line.

Really Hot - Mostly Dry - Can't Rule Out T-Storms
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
OUR HOT AND DRY PATTERN WILL DOMINATE WEATHER HEADLINES THIS WEEK WITH ONE EXCEPTION. TUESDAY NIGHT THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP NORTH OF OUR AREA AND MOVE SOUTH INTO THE BIG COUNTRY - SO I'VE INCLUDED A 30% CHANCE OF STORMS TUESDAY NIGHT.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE VERY HOT THIS WEEK - 102 MONDAY IS THE HOTTEST - COOLEST AT 92 ON WEDNESDAY - BACK TO UPPER 90'S BY END OF THE WEEK. LOWS WILL BE 70-75.
SOUTH WIND WILL DOMINATE AT 10 TO 15 AT NIGHT AND 15 TO 20 DURING THE DAY, GUSTY AT TIMES.

A SUMMER PATTERN IN STORE
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
ANOTHER HOT DAY TODAY ACROSS THE AREA WITH NO MAJOR CHANGES TO THE TEMPERATURE PATTERN.
IT WAS INTERESTING TO SEE SOME THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA EARLY THIS MORNING - THEY WERE HIT AND MISS - BUT ONE CAME ACROSS THE SOUTH SIDE OF ABILENE AND DROPPED ENOUGH RAIN TO COLLECT ON STREETS AND GIVE LAWNS A GOOD WATERING. A WEAK ATMOSPHERIC BOUNDARY WORKED INTO OUR AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST DURING THE EARLY MORNING, INTERRACTED WITH LOW LEVEL JET MOISTURE, AND CAUSED THE STORMS. AS I'VE MENTIONED BEFORE, JUNE IS A TIME OF YEAR WHERE WE SEE OCCASIONAL NOCTURNAL STORMS DEVELOP WHEN CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT.
AN ISOLATED STORM OR TWO CAN'T BE RULED OUT TONIGHT BUT FOR THE MOST PART, THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS STILL LOOK DRY AND WARM.
EXPECT DAYTIME HIGHS TO RANGE FROM 96 TO 100 OVER THE AREA EACH OF THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE LOW TO MIDDLE 70'S. SKIES WILL CONTINUE TO BE MAINLY FAIR WITH OCCASIONAL MORNING LOW CLOUDS GIVING WAY TO SUN BY MID-DAY.
WIND WON'T BE QUITE AS GUSTY TONIGHT OR TOMORROW, BUT STILL ON THE BREEZY SIDE IN THE 10 TO 15 RANGE.

Hot 'N Windy
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
SUMMER HEAT STAYS FOR A FEW DAYS - NO RAIN IN MY FORECAST RIGHT NOW ALTHOUGH THE UPPER LEVEL FLOW TURNS NORTHWEST WEEKEND TIME PERIOD AND EARLY NEXT WEEK SO WE'LL KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR SOME STORMS TO OUR NORTH TO BE PUSHED IN OUR DIRECTION. OTHER THAN THAT, HIGH PRESSURE CONTROLS AND HOT AND DRY WEATHER WILL DOMINATE.
HIGHS THURSDAY 98 TO 103. SOUTH WIND 15 TO 25.
HIGHS FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND: MID 90'S OR HOTTER. LOWS LOW 70'S.

Here We Go Again
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
THERE ISN'T MUCH GOING ON IN THE WEATHER WORLD THIS EVENING. PRETTY TYPICAL WEATHER FOR MID JUNE CAN BE EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS BUT THERE IS SOMETHING I AM WATCHING FOR THE POTENTIAL FOR RAIN.
IN THE UPPER LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE, OUR WIND WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST WHICH MEANS STORMS WHICH DEVELOP TO OUR NORTH WILL MOVE SOUTH. THESE TYPICALLY HAPPEN AT NIGHT, SO FRIDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY NIGHT I HAVE INCLUDED A 20% CHANCE FOR STORMS BASED ON THIS UPPER AIR PATTERN.
TEMPERATURES WILL STAY CLOSE TO THE MIDDLE 90'S FOR HIGHS AND LOW 70'S FOR LOWS THROUGH THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS.
THE CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE 20% FRIDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY NIGHT.

Hot & Dry Weather Ahead:
Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited at KRBC...
* Busted Forecast! After what looked to be promising rain chance yesterday, we only saw a few showers out of the whole event. The main batch of rain developed and moved off toward North Texas and missed our area. All the model runs were pointing at a good rain event but as you can tell it was a bust. You win some and you lose some... just how it is in life and forecasting weather!
* The remains of the front are stalled out over the Concho Valley this morning. The front should began to retrograde into a warm front and lift northward today. Highs today will climb back into the middle 90s across the Big Country, Heartland and Northern Concho Valley. This pattern will remain in place through the next seven days. There is also no mentionable rain chances in the forecast.

Strong To Severe Storms Possible Today
Good Morning from Meteorologist Chris Whited at KRBC...
*** There is a slight risk for severe weather today and tonight across all of the Big Country, Heartland and Northern Concho Valley. Stay with KRBC throughout the day for any possible watches and warnings ***
* Cold front across the Texas Panhandle and Southern Oklahoma will drift southward today into the Big Country near Interstate 20 by this evening. Expect showers and thunderstorms along this front as it stalls out over West Central Texas today and tonight. Some storms could be severe with the main threat for us today being large hail and damaging winds. The SPC has all of West Central Texas outlined in a slight risk for severe storms today and tonight. Highs today thanks to clouds and rain only in the upper
80s and lower 90s. This looks to be the only decent rain chance in our extended forecast.
The front will gradually drift back northward tomorrow as a warm front with temperatures climbing into the 90s one again. By the end of the week, we will be back into the middle and upper 90s across the area.

CHANCE FOR T-STORMS MONDAY AND SLIGHTLY COOLER
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
IT HAS BEEN ANOTHER HOT AND WINDY DAY ACROSS THE KRBC VIEWING AREA TODAY BUT CHANGES ARE EXPECTED FOR MONDAY. A COLD FRONT, LOCATED IN THE NORTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE THIS EVENING, IS EXPECTED TO GET A NUDGE TO THE SOUTH AND MOVE INTO OUR AREA DURING THE DAY ON MONDAY. THE FRONT SHOULD HELP A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FORM AND MOVE NORTH TO SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA. A FEW STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE AND OUR AREA IS INCLUDED IN THE SLIGHT RISK AREA FOR SEVERE STORMS MONDAY BY THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER. AFTER THE FRONT WASHES OUT TUESDAY, OUR WARM AND DRY WEATHER RETURNS AND RAIN LOOKS DOUBTFUL FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK.
TONIGHT: CONTINUED WINDY AND MILD, LOW OF 74. AN ISOLATED STORM OR TWO IS POSSIBLE ACROSS OUR NORTHERN VIEWING AREA BEFORE SUNRISE. SOUTHEAST WIND 15 TO 25.
MONDAY: A 40% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITH A HIGH IN THE MIDDLE 80'S, WARMER SOUTH OF THE FRONT. WIND SHIFTS GRADUALLY NORTHEAST AND EAST AT 10 TO 15.
MONDAY NIGHT: A 40% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITH A LOW IN THE UPPER 60'S.
TUESDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY AND 92.

SLIGHT CHANCE FOR STORMS THURSDAY NIGHT
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
GOOD EVENING - I HAVE MADE SOME CHANGES TO THE SHORT TERM FORECAST FOR THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY BY ADDING A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO OUR AREA.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE OUT OF THE ROCKIES INTO THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND PRODUCE NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY TO OUR NORTH. HOWEVER, WE SHOULD BE CLOSE ENOUGH TO SEE THE TAIL END OF A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS AFFECT MAINLY AREAS NORTH OF I-20 ON THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING.
TEMPERATURES OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS WILL COOL A LITTLE, BUT WILL BE ABOVE NORMAL BY A FEW DEGREES.
SATURDAY, I ALSO ADDED THE MENTION OF ISOLATED SHOWERS WITH A WEAK TROUGH PASSING THROUGH BUT VERY HIT AND MISS.
THE WIND IS GOING TO BE EXTREMELY GUSTY OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS SO HANG ON TO YOUR HAT.
TONIGHT: CLEAR AND WINDY, LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT. LOW OF 75 WITH SOUTH WIND 15 TO 25 AND GUSTY.
TOMORROW: VERY WINDY AND BLOW TORCH HOT. HIGH OF 96. SOUTHEAST WIND 30 TO 40MPH.
THURSDAY NIGHT: A 20% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS, LOW NEAR 72.
FRIDAY: MORNING STORMS, THEN PARTLY CLOUDY AND 93.

Not Quite So Hot - But Still Hot
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
THE WEATHER PATTERN SHOWS A LITTLE SIGN OF CHANGE, BUT NOT A DRASTIC SIGN OF CHANGE. IT WILL STILL BE HOT - BUT WE SHOULD FEEL A FEW DEGREES DIFFERENCE TOWARD THE END OF THE WEEK AS THE HIGH GETS BUMPED PARTIALLY OUT OF THE WAY BY A LOW PRESSURE AREA.
FOR NOW, I'M LEAVING RAIN OUT OF THE FORECAST AS THE STORM TRACK SHOULD STAY NORTH OF OUR AREA.
TONIGHT: CLEAR AND WINDY, LOW 73. SOUTH WIND 10 TO 20.
WEDNESDAY: SUNNY AND VERY WINDY. HIGH 99. SOUTHEAST WIND 20 TO 30.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: CLEAR AND 75.
THURSDAY: SUNNY AND 96.

More Heat
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ...
NO MAJOR CHANGES TO MY FORECAST AS TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT IS LIKELY TUESDAY AND AGAIN WEDNESDAY. THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE CAUSING THE HEAT SHOULD BEND, BUT NOT BREAK, LATER THIS WEEK AS A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH FROM THE NORTHWEST PUTS A LITTLE PRESSURE ON THE HIGH BUT WON'T TOTALLY MOVE IT. THE END RESULT IS SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES THURSDAY INTO THE WEEKEND, BUT NOT MUCH COOLER. STILL NO RAIN EXPECTED.
MONDAY NIGHT: CLEAR AND WARM, MID 70'S. SOUTH WIND 10 TO 20.
TUESDAY: SUNNY AND HOT, 100, SOUTH WIND 15 TO 25.
TUESDAY NIGHT: CLEAR AND 75.

More Heat - Sorry !!!
FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..
LOTS OF FOLKS STICKING CLOSE TO HOME AND STICKING CLOSE TO THE AIR CONDITIONER OR THE SWIMMING POOL AS A HEAT WAVE GRIPS OUR AREA AND NO RELIEF IS IN SIGHT ANYTIME SOON.
THE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WILL DOMINATE OUR WEATHER THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE WEEK. WE SHOULD SEE A SLIGHT DECREASE IN TEMPERATURE AROUND MID-WEEK, BUT IT IS STILL GOING TO BE HOT.
RAIN SURE LOOKS DOUBTFUL AT THIS POINT. WINDY AND HOT WILL BE OUR MAIN WEATHER STORY THIS WEEK.
TONIGHT: CLEAR, LOWS IN THE LOW 70'S. SOUTH WIND 10 TO 15.
TOMORROW: SUNNY, WINDY AND HOT - HIGHS NEAR 100. SOUTH WIND 15 TO 25.
