A SUMMER PATTERN IN STORE

FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..

ANOTHER HOT DAY TODAY ACROSS THE AREA WITH NO MAJOR CHANGES TO THE TEMPERATURE PATTERN.

IT WAS INTERESTING TO SEE SOME THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA EARLY THIS MORNING - THEY WERE HIT AND MISS - BUT ONE CAME ACROSS THE SOUTH SIDE OF ABILENE AND DROPPED ENOUGH RAIN TO COLLECT ON STREETS AND GIVE LAWNS A GOOD WATERING. A WEAK ATMOSPHERIC BOUNDARY WORKED INTO OUR AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST DURING THE EARLY MORNING, INTERRACTED WITH LOW LEVEL JET MOISTURE, AND CAUSED THE STORMS. AS I'VE MENTIONED BEFORE, JUNE IS A TIME OF YEAR WHERE WE SEE OCCASIONAL NOCTURNAL STORMS DEVELOP WHEN CONDITIONS ARE RIGHT.

AN ISOLATED STORM OR TWO CAN'T BE RULED OUT TONIGHT BUT FOR THE MOST PART, THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS STILL LOOK DRY AND WARM.

EXPECT DAYTIME HIGHS TO RANGE FROM 96 TO 100 OVER THE AREA EACH OF THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE LOW TO MIDDLE 70'S. SKIES WILL CONTINUE TO BE MAINLY FAIR WITH OCCASIONAL MORNING LOW CLOUDS GIVING WAY TO SUN BY MID-DAY.

WIND WON'T BE QUITE AS GUSTY TONIGHT OR TOMORROW, BUT STILL ON THE BREEZY SIDE IN THE 10 TO 15 RANGE.
