CHANCE FOR T-STORMS MONDAY AND SLIGHTLY COOLER

FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..

IT HAS BEEN ANOTHER HOT AND WINDY DAY ACROSS THE KRBC VIEWING AREA TODAY BUT CHANGES ARE EXPECTED FOR MONDAY. A COLD FRONT, LOCATED IN THE NORTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE THIS EVENING, IS EXPECTED TO GET A NUDGE TO THE SOUTH AND MOVE INTO OUR AREA DURING THE DAY ON MONDAY. THE FRONT SHOULD HELP A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FORM AND MOVE NORTH TO SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA. A FEW STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE AND OUR AREA IS INCLUDED IN THE SLIGHT RISK AREA FOR SEVERE STORMS MONDAY BY THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER. AFTER THE FRONT WASHES OUT TUESDAY, OUR WARM AND DRY WEATHER RETURNS AND RAIN LOOKS DOUBTFUL FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK.

TONIGHT: CONTINUED WINDY AND MILD, LOW OF 74. AN ISOLATED STORM OR TWO IS POSSIBLE ACROSS OUR NORTHERN VIEWING AREA BEFORE SUNRISE. SOUTHEAST WIND 15 TO 25.

MONDAY: A 40% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITH A HIGH IN THE MIDDLE 80'S, WARMER SOUTH OF THE FRONT. WIND SHIFTS GRADUALLY NORTHEAST AND EAST AT 10 TO 15.

MONDAY NIGHT: A 40% CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITH A LOW IN THE UPPER 60'S.

TUESDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY AND 92.
