Warmer Today, Rain Chances Return:

Good Morning From Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Areas that saw rain on Wednesday picked up a good soaking. Abilene officially picked up 1.31" of rain, while Doppler Radar estimates show that areas along US 180 from the Snyder to Breckenridge corridor picked up 2 to 3 inches of rain.

* Expect much warmer weather today as breezy southwesterly winds will impact the area today. The dryline will mix into our the western portions of the Big County this afternoon and could kick off a very isolated storm ahead of the dryline... mainly from about a Haskell to Abilene to Ballinger and points eastward line. Highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s today and lows tonight in the low to middle 60s.

* Another cold front will push across the area on Friday and will help kick off a few thunderstorms. Severe weather threat looks low, with the best chance of severe storms east of our area. Another storm system will impact West Texas on Sunday. There is a slight risk of severe weather outlined by the SPC for West Central Texas on Sunday for this event.
