Storm Chances This Weekend:

Good Morning From Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* A cold front will move into the area today and bring slightly cooler air to West Central Texas. The front may kick off a few storms that could be strong in our eastern and southeastern counties this afternoon... mainly along a line from Eastland to Santa Anna to Brady and points eastward. Highs will be back into the lower to middle 80s today. Lows tonight will be cooler as well into the middle 50s.

* Quiet weather for most of Saturday with highs in the middle to upper 70s. The front that moves through on Friday will stall in South Texas and lift northward as a warm front and interact with a storm system moving into West Texas and kick off a good chance for thunderstorms Saturday night and into Sunday. The best severe weather threat looks to be centered over the Concho Valley, but the slight risk of severe weather runs roughly along and South of US 180 in the Big Country and south into the heart of West Central Texas.
