Moderate Risk For Severe Weather Thursday:


* Mostly cloudy conditions will continue across West Central Texas for today with a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle 60s. Same story for tonight with isolated storms possible. Lows should be around 60.

* Tomorrow: The Storm Prediction Center has place most of the Big Country under a Moderate Risk For severe weather on Thursday afternoon, evening and early Friday. Here is the NWS/San Angelo Hazardous Weather Outlook:

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS

..DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TODAY...MAINLY ACROSS THE BIGCOUNTRY AS A WARM FRONT MOVES NORTH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED. NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME

..DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAYAFTERNOON AND NIGHT...IN THE BIG COUNTRY FROM HASKELL TO ANSON TO ABILENE...AND FOR AREAS TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THESE CITIES. ASLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE STORMS EXTENDS ACROSS THE REST OF WEST CENRALTEXAS. AN UPPER DISTURBANCE FROM THE WEST WILL DESTABILIZE THEATMOSPHERE. A DRYLINE IN WESTERN SECTIONS OF THE CONCHO VALLEY AND BIG COUNTRY WILL BE A FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENTDURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A COLD FRONT LATE EVENING AND AFTER MIDNIGHT WILL THEN BE AN ADDITIONAL FOCUS FOR STRONG TOSEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS ARE THE MAINTHREATS. AN ISOLATED TORNADO IS ALSO POSSIBLE..SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT.
