Stormy Weather Late Saturday & Saturday Night

FROM KRBC CHIEF METEOROLOGIST RANDY TURNER ..

ONE COLD FRONT CAME THROUGH TODAY BUT THE MAIN COLD FRONT WHICH SHOULD CAUSE WIDESPREAD RAIN WON'T ARRIVE UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT.

DURING THE DAY SATURDAY, WE'LL SEE CLOUDS GATHERING AND YOU'LL NOTICE THE SOUTHEAST WIND INCREASING. LATE DAY SATURDAY, A DRY LINE WILL APPROACH FROM THE WEST WHILE THE COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE NORTH. A FEW STORMS, WHICH COULD TURN SEVERE, ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE KRBC VIEWING AREA.

THEN, SATURDAY NIGHT AS THE MAIN STORM SYSTEM ARRIVES, MORE WIDESPREAD THUNDERSTORMS, SOME SEVERE, WILL ACCOMPANY THE COLD FRONT. YOU ARE URGED TO MONITOR THE WEATHER CLOSELY SATURDAY NIGHT FOR POTENTIAL SEVERE STORMS. THE COLD FRONT WILL ALSO BRING A FEEL OF FALL-LIKE WEATHER SUNDAY AS HIGHS DROP BACK INTO THE 60'S AND OVERNIGHT LOWS DROP INTO THE LOW 40'S.

FRIDAY NIGHT: CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY, LOW NEAR 52. EAST WIND 5 TO 15.

SATURDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY, HIGH 77, SOUTHEAST WIND 15 TO 25 AND GUSTY IN THE AFTERNOON. EXPECT A FEW LATE DAY STORMS, SOME SEVERE, BECOMING MORE NUMEROUS SATURDAY NIGHT.

SATURDAY NIGHT: RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY, SOME SEVERE, LOW IN THE MIDDLE 40'S WITH GUSTY NORTH WIND.

SUNDAY: PARTLY CLOUDY TO BEGIN THE DAY, TURNING SUNNY LATE, COOL, IN THE MID TO UPPER 60'S.
