TEMPERATURES IN THIS RANGE WILL ENHANCE THEPOTENTIAL FOR FROST TO DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY IN LOW LYING AREAS.

WHILE AIR TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING AT MOSTLOCATIONS...FROST CAN FORM AT AIR TEMPERATURES AS WARM AS 38 DEGREES UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONS.FROST CAN DAMAGE OR KILL COLD SENSITIVE VEGETATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN PROTECTED. RESIDENTS SHOULD PROTECT ANY TENDER PLANTS THATHAVE RECENTLY BLOOMED OR BEEN PLANTED. COVERING THEM WITH A LIGHT BLANKET OR MOVING THEM BENEATH A COVERED PORCH SHOULD PROVIDEENOUGH PROTECTION FROM THIS LATE SEASON COLD SPELL.
