From KRBC Chief Meteorologist Randy Turner ....
Our brief retreat to Fall-like weather is about over. Temperatures begin warming up Tuesday.
Monday's official high in Abilene was 55, which is 23 degrees below normal for the date.
I'm forecasting a high of 71 on Monday under mostly cloudy skies. Not out of the question that a showers or two could develop, but chances are very low.
Wednesday looks to be a breezy day, more typical of Spring ...high near 82 degrees.
While we warm up Wednesday, a large area of low pressure begins moving into the southwestern U.S. This low will move east and is what will bring a chance for thunderstorms back to our forecast on Thursday and Friday.
It is possible some storms may become severe Thursday and Thursday night with large hail and damaging winds.
Temperatures Thursday and Friday will be near 80 degrees, dropping to the mid 70's for the weekend.
As of now, no rain is expected this weekend.
