Breezy & Warmer Weather Returns:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Still cool out there this morning but not quite as cool as it was on Monday morning. Sunny to start the day with some high clouds drifting in as we head into the afternoon. Warmer and breezy today with highs in the lower 80s and a south wind. Partly cloudy and much warmer tonight thanks to the winds staying up overnight. Lows tonight will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

* Partly cloudy and windy for the rest of the week with highs in the 80s and lows into the 50s and 60s. We still have a chance for thunderstorms late Thursday night and into Friday morning as a dryline advances into the area ahead of a cold front. The best chance for a storm or two still looks to be east of Abilene across the eastern areas of the Big Country ahead of the dryline but a storm could develop along the front as it advances into the area.

* The Weekend: Partly cloudy each day over the weekend with highs around 80 on Saturday and Sunday with lows into the lower 50s. Model runs this morning are still hinting at an isolated storm chance this weekend but just to our east so I've taken the slight chance out for the area. Weather looking good if your heading out to Dyess AFB on Saturday for the annual Dyess Big Country Airfest!

* Drought Information: West Central Texas remains above normal on rainfall this year so no drought issues here locally at the present time. For the latest drought information for the state of Texas please visit the U.S Drought Monitor website by clicking here. The data is updated by the government every Thursday morning around 7:30 AM local time.
