Still Hot & Humid For The Big Country:



Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Another very quiet morning across Abilene and the Big Country. Very warm and humid out there angain this morning. Showers and thunderstorms north across the Panhandle along a frontal boundary but those storms will stay to the north and not affect us. Other than a few high clouds at times today, abundant sunshine today with highs this afternoon into the upper 90s, with some areas approaching 100° again. Also it will be quite humid today and heat index values could range between 100-105° at times this afternoon today. Tonight we'll drop down to the middle 70s with mainly clear conditions.

* Models continue bring a weak front into the Big Country come Thursday evening and into Friday. With the front in the vicinity, will go ahead and include a slight rain chance for late Thursday, with the best chances on Friday for Abilene and the Big Country. Highs will range from the middle to upper 90s the rest of the week and lows at night into the middle 70s. Middle 90s and lower 70s for temperatures over the weekend with a dry forecast.
