A Wet & Cooler Start To The Week:

Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...

* Clouds continue to stream into the area this morning and we'll remain cloudy the rest of the day. A low pressure system will track out of New Mexico and across West Texas today increasing the chance for rain showers across the area today. Temperatures much cooler as highs only climb into the lower 50s. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible tonight as the main low tracks to our west and southwest. Organized severe weather is not expected but a few thunderstorms could be strong overnight and early on Tuesday morning. Expect lows in the lower 40s. As the low tracks down southeast into the Edwards Plateau and the Hill County on Tuesday the rain chances will end in the morning. Clouds will begin to decrease later into the day on Tuesday with highs in the middle 50s.

* The Week Ahead: Temperatures warm back up from the middle and into the late week across the region with highs gradually heading back into the 70s for late week with mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions. A decent cold front moves into the area on Saturday bringing us cooler weather and a slight chance for showers (mainly the northern counties based on the model data this morning) so the first day of spring will not feel so spring-like. In case your wondering the Vernal Equinox will occur at 12:32 P.M. CDT on Saturday.
