Good Morning from KRBC Meteorologist Chris Whited...
* Cloudy and mild this morning as temperatures have stayed in the middle 50s overnight. Cold front still off to the west. The low pressure center will lift northeast across the Panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma dragging the cold front across the area this morning. Expect showers and thunderstorms to develop to the west this morning and work across the area as the front moves across the region this morning. Some storms could be strong and a few could reach severe levels but an organized severe weather event is not expected. Storms should exit the eastern counties by early to the middle of the afternoon. Clouds will be on the decrease from west to east behind the front. Highs today in the upper 60s and lower 70s and continued breezy. Partly cloudy and eventually mostly clear later tonight with lows in the middle 40s and still breezy.
* The Week Ahead: A few clouds on Tuesday with highs in the lower 70s. Mostly cloudy on Wednesday with a slight chance of showers, generally east of Abilene with highs in the middle 60s. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy for later in the week with temperatures cooling down into the lower to middle 60s and overnight lows dipping into the 30s later in the week. Temperatures start to warm back up over the weekend.
* Time Change: Don't forget we all have to spring forward one hour early Sunday morning at 2:00 AM. It's time once again for us to go back into Daylight Saving Time. Also don't forget to change out the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It's also a good idea to change the batteries in your NOAA All-Hazards Radio!
