* Low clouds and even some patchy fog in spots across the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley this morning. A cold front passed through the region overnight and has brought cooler temperatures back to the area. Under a partly cloudy sky we'll warm up into the lower and middle 50s for today. Clouds will be on the increase tonight with lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
* Thursday & Friday: Cloudy with areas of drizzle and patchy fog across the region on Thursday with a chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs only in the low 50s with lows Thursday night into the lower 40s. A shortwave weather system will move eastward into the South Plains tomorrow evening. Rain chances will be on the increase for the Big Country, the Northern Heartland and the Northern Concho Valley for tomorrow night and on Friday. We might even see a few thunderstorms. This is the first decent rain chance we've seen for our area since late October. Temperatures will hold in the 40s on Friday. The system will move eastward and rain chances will end by Friday evening. Decreasing clouds for late on Christmas Eve with temperatures dropping into the upper 20s by Christmas morning.
* Christmas Weekend: Expect a mostly sunny sky over the holiday weekend for West Central Texas. Chilly on Christmas Day (Saturday) with highs in the lower to middle 40s. Highs will be in the middle and upper 40s on Sunday. Overnight lows will be upper 20s Friday morning and into the lower to middle 20s for Sunday morning.
