Strong Storms Tonight:

Good Morning from KRBC Forecaster John Nolan...

* We're watching the low pressure system move towards the area today. Ahead of it, we'll see partly to mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures. Slight chances for showers and isolated storms especially west this afternoon. Expect a high near 82.

* Keep your eyes to the sky tonight as the storms roll in. Primetime for storms across the Big Country is between 7PM and 7AM. Main threats will be large hail and damaging winds. We could also see some pretty good rainfall and dangerous lightning. These storms will work their way East overnight and into the morning on Friday. Mild overnight lows in the lower 60's.

* Showers and storms will stick around on Friday. The low pressure area moves North and East into the Central Plains. There will be enough moisture and instability throughout the day to trigger re-development of storms, most likely across the eastern portions of the viewing area. We'll see cooler temperatures on Friday with highs in the mid 70's.

* Still thinking that most games for Friday Night Football will be played. We'll keep an eye on it.

* Looking Ahead: Still a lingering chance for showers as we head into the early part of the weekend. High temperatures will be in the upper 70's to lower 80's. Looks like we'll have a warm start to next week with high temperatures on Monday in the mid-80's. A cold front looks to move into the area by Wednesday; models are showing a fairly significant cool down by the end of next week.
