From KRBC Chief Meteorologist Randy Turner ....
As I write this on Tuesday night, the Orlando Magic are crushing Atlanta 91-47 in the NBA Playoffs.
What does that have to do with weather? Nothing, except Orlando is hot, just like our temperatures are going to be Wednesday and Thursday.
I'm forecasting a low in the upper 50's Wednesday morning. Temperatures warm to near 80 by the noon hour, then to 90 by late afternoon.
There will be a north wind on Wednesday, but it won't have any impact on our temperatures.
Thursday looks to be our hottest day with highs in the upper 90's. The, a dry cold front sweeps through on Friday, knocking out the heat for a couple of days with highs in the 70's Friday and Saturday.
By Saturday night, a slight chance for rain and thunderstorms return to the forecast as a warm front returns northward through the area. A few showers or storms isolated around the area on Mother's Day Sunday, but most won't be affected by the rain.
Stay safe in the heat, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and wear the sunscreen to protect the skin.
