From Meteorologist Kristen Connolly
Christmas night was the perfect time to huddle around the fireplace with low temperatures dropping into the 20’s across the Big Country. However when the sun came up so did the temperatures reaching into the lower 60’s today. Overnight tonight we will drop the temperatures again but with stronger southerly winds we will keep the temperatures into the upper 30’s tonight.
Tomorrow we will stay much above average with highs reaching to 70 degrees. The biggest factor will be the winds blowing at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Because of this a lake wind advisory is in effect. Overnight should stay very mild with lows staying in the upper 40’s. By Thursday we will drop highs to the mid 60’s with rain chances beginning Thursday night into Friday as our next Low pushes into the region. A pacific cold front will pass through that evening dropping our temperatures around 10 degrees and bring us back to some cooler weather.
For the holiday weekend we are looking at highs in the lower 50’s with overnight lows dropping into the upper 20’s with plenty of sunshine!
Have a great week!
