From KRBC Chief Meteorologist Randy Turner ....
Temperatures topped 50 degrees Friday afternoon in Abilene, but we'll be much warmer on Saturday.
Thanks to southwest wind and plenty of sunshine (after morning fog), highs near 60 are forecast Saturday.
But the weather does a flip-flop Sunday when a strong cold front arrives in the morning, bringing with it a Valentine's surprise ... gusty north wind and highs closer to 40. Plus, I'm adding mention of a slight chance for snow flurries or sprinkles as the cold front passes.
Bottom line, don't let Saturday's warmer weather fool you into believing Sunday will be as nice, because it will be much cooler.
Looking ahead to next week, highs get back into the 50's early week and stay there all week, but more showers are possible by Thursday.
Also, circle the dates of February 27th and 28th on your calendar as it looks like we could see more wintry weather then, like we had on Thursday.
